Would love to hear people’s unsolicited thoughts on accelerator programs 👇
We already missed the deadline for YC + a16z speedrun, but wondering if it’s still worth applying
For context: we raised $500K pre-seed for similar dilution
I’m 22 and just graduated from @Northeastern
In the last 6 months, we went from 0 to $230K ARR (@tomoji_ai)
My problem with applying to these accelerators (plus the dilution) is that we aren’t doing anything “novel”
We’re doing an AI native social media agency for other tech founders + companies
Fully honestly we aren’t going to “change the world”
But we do have a fat waitlist, and a lot of demand
Honestly, the last 6 months we’ve been moving very slow. We got trapped in manual workload hell by taking on too much client work initially, leaving little to no time for building.
Now we’ve begun to free up more time, and I think we can really scale over the next 3 months
Easily to 1M+ ARR
But I heard it’s impossible to raise a decent seed round without one of these big name backers
So maybe we just pre-seed strap tf out of our company
I honestly have no clue lol, but would love to hear thoughts or connect with people who can give advice! :)
