January 4, 2026$6K MRR Milestone
Original Announcement
š§ š” Something new I've noticed as we've just passed $6k MRR
More and more customers do EXPANSION REVENUE
Meaning: they subscribe for $25/mo -> upgrade to $50 -> upgrade to $100
(Context: we're a "build apps by chatting to AI" app)
Ofc some jump differently, e.g. $25 -> $100
or $25 -> $50 -> $200
Is this product market fit?
If yes, then that means THE #1 bottleneck of Shipper, my compnay, is marketing, not more product
@nikitabier @levelsio @marclou @robwalling @thesamparr @ShaanVP How do I go viral?
I'm reading more and more of Nikita's posts, as virality is his thing. So far we've:
⢠Added streaks
⢠Users' projects will now have a badge "Built with Shipper"
⢠Projects are ofc hosted on our subdomain by default
⢠We've added workspaces so that people can invite teammates
⢠Posted more and more on social about what can be built with Shipper, leading to my best post ever: x.com/chddaniel/status/20071ā¦
But I feel like we're just a baby when it comes to virality with these. What are we missing?
We do have an INFLUX of users coming in... and they do expand, there is SOME word of mouth...
But ideally we'd engineer it so that, built-in there is virality? Thoughts?
